Our Services
The Band is actively engaged in the community, performing at events and teaching learners, in amongst regularly competing at regional and national competitions during the competition season from October to March. The Band also hires out its band hall in Tawa, Wellington for casual or long-term hirers.
Band Bookings
If you need a pipe band for a parade or community or corporate event in Wellington, the Wellington Red Hackle should be your first port of call.
Solo Pipers
We can provide pipers for weddings, birthdays or funerals throughout Wellington, Kāpiti and the Wairarapa.
Tuition
If you are interested in learning the bagpipes or drums in Wellington, we can provide tuition. We teach leanrers of all ages, but run a dedicated programme for young players (under 18). More info.
Hall Hire
If you need a clean, comfortable hall for community or private functions, our band hall is available for hire at reasonable rates. More info.
